Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 20 October 2026
These Terms govern your use of rigworx.org (the "Platform"), operated by RigWorx ("RigWorx", "we", "us"). By creating a profile, requesting access or downloading a CV, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Platform.
1. What RigWorx does
RigWorx is an online platform that introduces offshore and industrial maintenance professionals ("Workers") to companies looking for qualified personnel ("Companies"). Through the Platform, RigWorx only makes these introductions. It does not employ Workers through the Platform and is not a party to any contract between a Worker and a Company. Any contract, engagement or payment between a Company and RigWorx is agreed separately in writing and is not governed by these Terms.
2. Who can use the Platform
Workers must be at least 18 years old. Companies must use the Platform for business purposes only. You must give accurate information and keep it up to date.
3. Worker profiles
- You create your profile and are responsible for its accuracy, including your trade, experience, certifications and their expiry dates.
- Do not upload documents or information that do not belong to you or that you are not allowed to share.
- RigWorx may ask for evidence of a certification and may correct or remove information that appears inaccurate or out of date. RigWorx does not guarantee that the information on a profile has been verified.
- Companies see a limited version of your profile: a public name (your first name and one other name), your trade, experience, certifications and their expiry dates (including the medical certificate and passport), languages, availability, nationality, country of residence, port of mobilisation, region, IRATA level and number, logged hours, the names of your previous employers and your profile summary. Your full name, email, phone number, expected day rate and uploaded documents are visible only to RigWorx.
- You can ask us to delete your profile at any time. See the Privacy Policy.
4. Access for Companies
Companies do not create accounts. To browse the candidate database, a Company confirms the Candidate Access Agreement shown on the access page and accepts these Terms. To download a CV, a Company enters its name and contact email and accepts the Fair Use Agreement shown at the time of download. In summary, the Company confirms that:
- the CV will be used solely to evaluate the candidate for a genuine work opportunity;
- if the Company is awarded a contract based on the candidate's profile, it will engage that candidate, or a suitably qualified replacement of equivalent skill and certification level, for that role; and
- the CV will not be used to win a contract and then staff the position with a technician sourced outside the Platform.
As stated in the Fair Use Agreement, it is a professional commitment between the Company and RigWorx, not a legally binding contract. RigWorx records each acceptance: company name, contact email, candidate, date and time. Companies who want more information about a Worker use the Request Information form.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- scrape, copy or republish profiles or CVs;
- use a CV for any purpose other than the one described in the Fair Use Agreement, or share Worker data with third parties;
- upload unlawful, misleading or malicious content;
- try to access areas, accounts or data you are not authorised to see;
- interfere with the operation or security of the Platform.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you upload. You give RigWorx a non-exclusive licence to store, process, translate, summarise and display it on the Platform and in generated CVs, as far as needed to run the Platform as described in the Privacy Policy. The licence ends when your profile is deleted, except for copies we must keep by law or in backups for a limited time.
7. AI-assisted features
The Platform uses artificial intelligence to read uploaded CVs, pre-fill profile fields, draft a profile summary and translate CV content into English. AI output can contain mistakes. Workers must review and correct their profile before saving it. Companies should not rely on a CV or profile summary without their own checks.
8. No guarantees
RigWorx does not guarantee that any Worker will be offered work or that any Company will find suitable personnel. It does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or currency of profiles, qualifications or certifications. Companies are responsible for verifying certifications, medical fitness and right to work before engaging anyone. The Platform is provided "as is" and may be unavailable from time to time.
9. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, and as far as the law allows, RigWorx is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or loss of business arising from use of the Platform, or for decisions made by Workers or Companies on the basis of information on the Platform.
10. Suspension and termination
RigWorx may suspend or remove a profile, or block a Company's access, if these Terms or the Fair Use Agreement are breached or where the law requires it. Workers may stop using the Platform and ask for their profile to be deleted at any time.
11. Privacy and cookies
How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Notice.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change significantly affects Workers, we will tell them by email before it applies. Continuing to use the Platform after a change means you accept it.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the law of Portugal. Before any formal step, the parties should try to settle a dispute by writing to commercial@rigworx.org.
